View Full Version : All steamed up

Just driven the 80 miles back from Skipton and the car felt damp, like someone had had a shower in the back. The windows were steaming up until I put the AC on. I got worse when it started tipping it down.

Just the damp muggy air or something else???

Just the weather, although having the AC on will always improve things as it dries the air to some extent due to it passing through the condenser.

Check your boot to make sure you haven't got water leaking into it.

Jonathan,

I know what this problem is as it also happened to me. Simply all you have to do is make sure the internal re-cycling air button is not switched on as you are continuously recycling damp air in the vehicle .. simples.

Also the button to the left of the rear window heater is the demist, press that and your car will demist irrespective of the recirculate air being on or off.
