Looking for a good Rover 75 mechanic in Bolton. Recently had a clutch replaced by a mechanic here. I should have asked beforehand, but I asked him how the dual mass flywheel was when I went to pick up my car, and he told me it showed some signs of wear. After that he told me that he didn't tell me about it because he didn't think Rovers were worth keeping. Wish I had said something before I took it in; wish he had said something to me when he had my clutch out. I would have told him to replace the DMF. Oh well, live and learn. I need to find a good Rover mechanic in Bolton. Anyone know of one? When I went to pick up my car after the clutch was installed, this mechanic droned on about Rovers and how they were a bad investment. Job's comforter, he was. I really love this car... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXXs8kDyG3Q

All cars are a bad investment, i.e. you get back less than you pay for them. Just ignore these kind of comments and next time you're given a lift in a dull German box with a depressing grey plastic interior, pat yourself on the back for being the owner of a 'Baby Bentley'. :D

Mmmm. Rover world near the new post office depot. My impression (and experience is) They aren't particularly interested in Rovers, It just happens that this make is there particular 'vehicle' for making money. Generally uninterested and will pull-your-pants down given the opportunity. Price any parts up on rimmers first (and ebay) from experience they want more than the x-part dealers for bits n bobs.

Go to A1 in Bury. not been for 4 years or so, but top scapper.
