Well, I've done it! I'm now a full trader on here.

I'm Mat and I own Discount MG Rover Spares - www.dmgrs.co.uk.
I try to be as competitive as I can on all parts, however my primary focus is on quality. I only buy parts I either know through experience to be good, or have seen fitted to other vehicles and have proven solid in testing.

So far I've had nearly 500 orders in under 6 months of trading, with no major issues or quality problems. I'm proud of my reputation, and will actively go out of my way to resolve a problem / help you choose the right part / assist with returns etc.

Some parts may be a little more expensive than eBay etc, but as they say - you pays your money and takes your chances. I'm always an email away, have a great returns policy (I pay for all faulty returns as I legally have to, and don't quibble regarding refunds) and only supply top notch kit.

Items of note:
SNR Strut Top Mount bearings (Set of 2) - Only £29.99 inc P+P.

Cheers guys!

As popularity grows I'll be looking for business mail and supplier accounts, and with such things comes discount - which will be passed straight back to you guys!

I'm hopeful - I have a large following on 'the other side' and hope I can gain the same following here.

If there's enough interest, I'd gladly pack the Tourer with parts and head to a meet or 10... :)

Cheers for the feedback.
The MAFs are usually Intermotor parts - I've had good success with their aftermarket MAFs on the 75/ZT and currently have one fitted to my own ZT-T with good results.

Could you tell me, is this the correct fuel filter for my 2.5 v6 190 please?

It's not correct Carla. Yours is an in tank filter, technically it should last the life of the car.

Thanks Tom

Technically it should yes :D

However on my typhoon, i had to get it replaced.

The fuel coming out of it was black? so she had a new one put in with one of those orange clips as she broke down on me?

I just want to get one for Kermit, then that will be one thing that she cannot brake down on me with :D

Your site says £169.99 mate :)

As kindly spotted by Ged, I do a kit with either a 'budget' clutch, or a premium Borg & Beck item.

The reasoning behind this is that it's the Slave that usually results in failure - the 'budget' clutches are still perfectly fine and have performed admirably in the past when I've seen them fitted.

Some people prefer brands, and that's why I also offer the £189.99 kit with the 'Premium' Borg and Beck clutch.

Hi

Just to say my first dealing with Mat has been excellant, after the courier cocked up delivery he perservered and got the item to me in time which enabled me to put my car in for the work as planned. He even had a full replacement on standby, so good old fashioned service values something which is quite rare today, highly recommended and will definitely be using Mat again.

Yep, I have just signed up as this is going to save me cash, as an example, the air filter for my CDTI from Halfords is £17.50, as I live 22 miles (44 round trip) I would have to add a further £5 on top of the filter cost for fuel. That's the only drawback from living out in the sticks. I can accept having to wait a day or two for parts to arrive. :wine:

I'm cutting a few prices down thanks to new suppliers, so you should see a marked decrease in items like service kits, head gasket kits etc.

I don't stock any 'cheap' parts, only bits I have used and know to be good quality, so on most items I won't be cheaper than a budget item from eBay... however I'll get as close as I can while supplying quality parts. None of us want to do a job twice... :)

I put a lot of the money received back into future projects to ensure the future viability of running our cars - in a few years I'll likely be having quite a few hard-to-find parts made up.
I keep a close eye on parts that are NLA, and will work to minimise any unavailability of essential parts.
