Edit 2 - As these are now a Genuine MG Rover part I've had to increase the price to £89.99 per kit.

Edit - they're now here and in stock! Next day delivery if ordered before 2PM.
We're proud to announce a partnership with Tazu - we are now resellers of their excellent 75 and ZT Metal Master Cylinders!

The originals are prone to failure; recently we're seeing new items faulty out of the box, leaking when only a few weeks old and issues when refilling / bleeding.

Tazu have made an excellent unit for the 75 and ZT, which should eliminate all of these issues.
I've gathered feedback from owners who have fitted them, and have made the partnership in the hope that the reduced cost (£89.99) will keep our excellent cars on the road for a while longer. £100+ for a plastic part that fails regularly is a reason to look elsewhere, but less than £70 for a metal unit that should outlive the car is much better.

I've also partnered the Metal Master Cylinder with my range of Borg & Beck Clutch Kits and my range of DOT4 Brake/Clutch Fluid - select from the drop-down menu on the Master Cylinder page to add a Clutch Kit or Fluid.

Nice one :)

Cheers! New items are always exciting, but this is particularly good - especially after how much I've spent in the past on the plastic parts.

Thank you for the support guys. I'm glad a solution to the plastic item has been found, shame I have an Auto now though! :getmecoat:

Good stuff! :D

Now hopefully Tazu will come up with their version of a slave to complete the picture..

DMGRS

I really hope someone does. While I have confidence in the slaves I stock, it'd be a sure-fire solution to a long-standing problem.

If Tazu do it, I'll be over the moon!

Now on the way and ready to ship in the next couple of days! :D

I couldn't be happier with mine only thing was that it took about 10 days to be delivered so a uk stockist is perfect.

Cheers.
I'm actually pretty impressed - I hadn't seen one in the flesh. I've had a quick peek at the internals, and I doubt we'll have many issues with these. The bore finish is perfect, seals seem good quality and all joints are nice and clean.

Hats off to Tazu!

Yes please on the feedback, I'm following this thread with considerable interest.

One criticism I would make, looking at the Tazu item is that it looks as if the push rod is plastic, the rod with the eye - maybe it is black metal?

Part of the reason for my pedal being near the floor, is that mine has some slop due to wear in the eye of the push-rod. It really needs to be bushed metal.

I was worried about the eye, however the material appears to be glass reinforced plastic rather than the usual 'glossy' plastic used in the original:

I wouldn't worry about it - the original from my 2001 CDT on 150k only had very slight ovaling of the pivot hole.

Just ordered one to have in stock. The travel on my original is getting rough and clicking a lot so will give peace of mind having a spare ready.

Could you please confirm if this is suitable for a ZT 190 circa 2003.

Thanks

So far I've had around 5 members confirm it's a good modification, and I've fitted 2 to friend's cars with excellent feedback too. :)
No negative comments have been received so far - 42 sold to date.

It will indeed - fits all manual 75/ZT vehicles (apart from the ZT260).

Great price! £40 less than I paid for a plastic LUK jobbie.

Thank you.
People have them on eBay for £100+ at the moment - although I could probably sell them for a little more, I'd rather keep the value added for members, as I know it took a lot of effort from members of this very club to make them happen.

Hi.
Will be ordering one in the next couple of days as I want the car 100% before I put it up for sale. Have fixed an ABS fault today thank God so the slight leak in the master will be gone forever, hopefully next weekend!

**** Now ordered ***** :D

It'll be gone, that's for sure! :)
I do hope you're just upgrading and not leaving the fold? :D

If all goes well I hope to seal a deal on a 2001 V6 Tourer that I was hoping to get today, COA I'm afraid was for none of me selling her so threw up two wobblies at the back end of the week

Good stuff, you'll love the V6. Definitely where I want to head next. :)
Good luck!
