Worn top mount bearings (Cdti)?

Noticed that the handling isn't quite precise as it should be recently and when I put the vehicle in full lock either way there's a knocking / rumbling sound. is this a sign of worn mounts? I'm not getting any knocks when going over bumps. 52reg, 127k and probably all original suspension etc.

sounds about right,mine had similar symptoms.swapped mounts and no knocks at all.
