Hi one and all, we are contemplating refurbishment of the boot

floor on our Saloon ie renewing boot floor base, and recarpeting

etc. Questions are as follows:-

1. Can the chrome luggage hooks on the Tourer be ammended

in any way to be used to lift out the boot base board?.

2. Would very much like to install rails to run from front to

back of boot floor to protect new carpeting.

Any advice would be appreciated .(Some may think why).

I have a little time on my hands, and trying to be as

active as i can in my old age!!!!!!!.

As you know, ever the same.

Take good care of each other.:}:}:}

I don't know why you want to replace the carpet, but if the only problem is that the fabric doesn't look as smooth anymore, I've got a little tip for you.

I'm not sure how to describe it, but sometimes the carpet isn't very smooth anymore, it kinda starts to look a bit fluffy... (I'm really lost in translation here...).
But to get it looking very nice again you just take a razor (like Gillete Mach 3 or something).
Put the carpet on a flat surface and start shaving it.
Vacuum the hairs that come off, and you'll end up with a very smooth looking carpet again.

If you want to wash it, wash it before you do this.

(just don't take an expensive one, because you'll want to throw the razor away when you're done).
