What's this for then?

My washer bottle is leaking from the pump grommet, so looked on Rimmers to find the part number.

1.8t auto washer pump seal is listed as DMJ100050.

So promptly ordered one, turns out it is not the right part, and actually I need DMJ000020.

So what is the DMJ100050 actually for?

is DMJ100050 seems to be for the 1.8t automatic only and DMJ000020 for the rest. Is it possible the pump was replaced at some stage ?

Defys me as to why the 1.8t auto needed a different pump grommet though

The 1.8t auto (and I think the V8 too) has a different bottle to the rest of the range, it is mounted on the nearside.

But, the pumps are the same, must be an error in the catalogue, I did a bit if searching, but I cannot see a use for this part.
