Paintless dent removal. Has anyone tried it themselves? My 45 has a few annoying dents that take away from the nearly perfect paint and surface.
I know that the professionals use special tools to " massage" the dent out from the back and sometimes suction from the front.
I wonder how hard it actually is.

I've done this a few times after shadowing a dent removal guy who came to do my last car. I learned a load.

The proper tools can be bought on eBay for about £150 but I've used modified bits and pieces to great effect. One method was cutting up an old metal/plastic-coated 'concertina' clothes horse into varying shapes and flattening the ends and it really worked to get into difficult areas to carefully prise out dents. Takes ages though and you need to be handy with a nylon punch to tease back the high spots.

I've only just ordered the proper kit 'cos if I can do wonders with put-together bits of metal, I feel I can do much better with made-for-the-job tools.
