I spotted this for sale and was wondering if Scottish members would be happy to 'chip in' and purchase one (or two? :shrug: maybe one for east'ish and one for the west'ish :shrug:)

The cost is reduced to £30. Ive bought two for the Scottish region.

I was at Beadnell Bay yesterday and saw one of these erected, have to say I was not impressed, did not look that big inside and did not seem to offer much protection. Personally would recommend a better quality one with removable sides, sorry to sound negative on your enthusiasm but hope it is taken in the context intended

Thank for your input but it's to serve as a basic shelter on occasions so it appears to fit the bill.

Thanks for the support with this idea.

I'll buy one today and bring it to Gretna tomorrow. I'll also sort an envelope and bring it to for people to make a donations.

Any donation, larger or small gratefully received.

Given the low cost, do people think I should buy two for the region?

Just sent £3 Glenn. Haven't been to a meet/event in yonks but I do fully intend to, just need to sort out the car situation. I'm currently driving a scenic due to all my weans and my (ex) husband has the ZT. He's not keeping it, I'll be getting it back then decide what to do with it. I am seriously considering a tourer, I no longer need the 7 seater but could still use the extra boot space. So I might yet end up with the ZT and a tourer. Extravagant or what.

Anyway, looking forward to meeting up with you all soon!! :D

Donation from myself today.

Thanks a million to those who have contributed to the Gazebo's for the region. The generosity is overwhelming especially as some members were from outside our region.

The Gazebo’s are now paid for and we have £33 in the kitty for any additional things for events/meets. Ill buy a couple of small tables (better than a pasting table!) that will fit in the boot.

Remember the Gazebo’s belong to the members so let me know if you need to borrow it for an event.

I was in ALDI and they had 5m (about 25 feet) fishing poles used in course fishing for a tenner. They make great flag poles so I bought two, one for the MG and Rover flags. :}
