Hi, I know there are several threads on how to wash and swirl etc but I have bought a 75 recently and I want to get her looking at her very best. There are these swirl type marks and the shine I have managed to get so far using polish and some maguires wax is not as lovely as some of the great pictures I have seen on here from other members. My inside is really good but I want to get that wonderful glow outside as well. For instance should I do the anti swirling thing, then claying, polish and wax/sealing? If so what products are best and not massively expensive. I could go to one of these companies that guarantee a six year fully coated shine type place but they seem really expensive and I don't know if they would do what they say on the tin, and also I wouldn't have the satisfaction of doing it myself. Anyway any help and guidance would be great. Thanks... Paul

Have you read Emps Thread (http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=2569) here? Some useful information.
It's a bit hard to say what you need & what to do, without seeing the extent of the swirling.
Minor swirls can be removed using Megs Scratch X, then a polish & wax afterwards. Major swirls need a machine detail to remove them.
As for these 6 years protective coats - waste of money!

Hi thanks for the link I will read it properly in a bit. The swirls shown are much worse than mine so I think perhaps they are not too bad. but I wonder if that is why I can't get the gleam i want yet. Thanks also for the advise on the protective coats.

Why not come along to the National meet at Beaulieu on the 4th of May and discuss your needs in person with many other members. :)

If they're not too bad Meguirs Scratch X applied by hand may do it for you, then a good polish & wax afterwards. Wash it first & clay it too, to remove any bonded NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- stuck to the paintwork.
There's a ton more reading here & some useful guides, and some cracking photos of what people have achieved:
