Lincolnshire/Norfolk Meet Sunday October 26th 2014

Well following on from the success of the August Meet, where we had a new record attendance of 20 cars on a brilliant day, the next event will be on Sunday 26th October.

The location will be as it's been so far, at http://www.choicehotelsuk.co.uk/en/quality-hotel-kings-lynn-kings-lynn-hotel-gb203 which has proven a popular location so far! :)

So lets see if we can break the record of attendance at the next one! :)

Kick off is normally around 11 am and goes on for around 2-3 hours, or until you get bored! :lol:

This will be the last Meet of this year, until April 2015.

Your on the list, would suggest roof dents on our cars are particularly challanging on our cars due to metal thickness and lack of access. Removing the headlining or part of might be an option with all the expertise there on the day:D Either way Iain will discuss with you on the day.:}

Looks as though a trip to Shipdam is on the cards for me as Iain is a man in demand, is there any chance he could persuade a smart repair/plastic repair guru to join him.If I can get the cowley car through the bodyshop in time it is in need of some tlc on the bumper :bowdown:

Hi Adi, can't you sleep:D, I have little experience of plastic/paint repairs.
I was happy to introduce and get involved with iain because he did work for me and his costs are so reasonable in my opinion. I do in fact need the same services as you for my ZR front bumper,
I might ask Iain for a contact, advice it is a small world these guy's work in!
Most plastic repairs involve the repair or plastic weld followed by a element of paint I think, relatively time consuming tasks.

Given the likely attendance to this meet and the fact it is the last of the year with a sizable gap till the 1st of 2015 - wonder if we can persuade Mrdoodles to consider a few more dates:bowdown:. Appreciate weather will play it's part going forward

Right guys, how much interest would there be in a plastic bumper repair man on the day! Type of guy who could repair blemishes to our bumpers and then paint remedy on the day. Not sure if I can get this off the ground, but happy to try if enough interest... Mrdoodles (Mark) would you be happy for me to get someone along if it is viable??

Anybody who I get along will come recommended by Iain as I have no recommendations in this field. Just so happens I have a sizable repair required to my rear bumper:D and my roof repair (filling and paint)

Imagine the nature of this work is more costly than Iain's services but reckon we can keep it to a minimum:shrug:

If Iain can get someone along who is prepared to work alongside him or in parallel just think what could be achieved.

Right guys, how much interest would there be in a plastic bumper repair man on the day! Type of guy who could repair blemishes to our bumpers and then paint remedy on the day. Not sure if I can get this off the ground, but happy to try if enough interest... Mrdoodles (Mark) would you be happy for me to get someone along if it is viable??

Anybody who I get along will come recommended by Iain as I have no recommendations in this field. Just so happens I have a sizable repair required to my rear bumper:D and my roof repair (filling and paint)

Imagine the nature of this work is more costly than Iain's services but reckon we can keep it to a minimum:shrug:

If Iain can get someone along who is prepared to work alongside him or in parallel just think what could be achieved.
I think this is a great idea mark and the extra dates for next year has to be worth thinking about. :D:D

I have a surplus spacesaver you are very welcome to I also have 3 18" hairpins one of which I believe Crown is going to take off me. Likewise I have a part used rather sexy Bridgestone RE41 tyre with 4mm of tread.
Remember 17 or 18" wheels, all much the same rolling diameter
If you wanted a wheel and tyre it would be for a silly modest price, just a pint and a dam good plenium rodding!:D

Just worked out the 16 x55 tyres will near as damn it the same diameter as 17 x45,So good enough to get home if I need to change a wheel.

Just thinking Chaps, I am likely to get there a bit earlier, we have an extra hours sleep anyhow that day, approaching 30 cars to meet and mindful of likely colder weather:mad: than the previous couple of meets.
I can also get Iain the dent man there earlier, mindful of the fact that Mrdoodles is 1st in line for some pretty extensive work circa 2 or 3 hours.

Mrdoodles if you fancy getting there half hour early:bowdown: he could be underway on your car around 10 am?

Appreciate our long distance guests from Herts/Essex and possibly further afield will get to Kings Lynn whenever:bowdown:

As I organise these Meets for the benefit of owners from all of the owners Clubs, if someone gets there before me in the dent que, then I have no problem other people taking my place Mark. ;)

Just remember that I only have to take my car into work to get dents done, so will only take up his offer of time, if everyone else's car is done 1st, to support a Business that is supporting the events! :}

Hi Adi, no problem:}, other than Mrdoodles car no big jobs for dentman, just quite a few small ones to keep him going.
Think I tell Iain to get there for 10am, if you can do similar then you can be his 1st customer. Some on his list are coming long distance so can hardly expect them to arrive especially early:}

Hi Steve, will be good to meet you and family on the day, always find your posts interesting and often amusing:D Appreciate you are coming some way, Iain the dent guy will work non stop throughout the day, once he gets underway he can move swiftly from dent to dent and car to car.

Make yourself known to him on arrival and he will sort you, be it after lunch..

Are you bringing your children along?, my 11 yr old son I hope to bring along he is used to the meets now.. He spends half his time on his ipad in my car hooked up to the hotels free internet:D and the rest of the time seemingly eating:D Would suggest bringing plenty of snacks and sort drinks for the kids if they are coming as hotel bar kids drinks and crisps etc are a bit expensive!

Hayley & kids will very much be weather dependent tbh, Plus as I would like to get some things done i'd like to get there fairly early and none of them are natural early risers :shrug: So it also depends on whether I can stand the morning strops as to whether they are coming :D

The girls have always slept through since they were about 3 months old, 7pm to 7am is not a problem for them, so they definitely have their mothers genes in that respect ;)

Got a navall 2 now so they can watch stuff on that,might have to bring a spare battery mind..
