Well, who would have thought it. We return home with the Trophy for Best Car Club Display!
We didn't even know there was one! A great big thanks to everyone there for making it a very enjoyable day. ( apart from the huge queues to get out....and the bright spark that decided to dig holes on the road out to Scone on one of their busiest days)
A great job in organising this Glenn...:bowdown:

Our stand did look fantastic. All the cars looked great and the detail sheets and flags looked very professional. I had a look round at the other stands and you know what, I think it was well deserved. Our stand was busy and a lot of people stopped by to ask about our cars and many talked about how great they looked.

Now we will have to defend it next year. We have some ideas....

Well done all.

Must say Chris I have to agree, our stand/display did look 1st class and all our cars were well turned out (honest).

I think we did ourselves proud and I did note that many visitors to our stand greatly admired the 75/ZTs...a nice feeling.

A super day with lots of stunning cars....inc a beautiful Jaguar E type and a mint Ford Escort 1.3 Pop Plus (Mk 2) had one of these back in 1980.

Spent about 3 hours washing/detailing the car when I got back, then found my water leak......under the header tank where the level sensor plug/wires is moulded to the bottom.....new header tank required I think.

Graham, as the level sensor kit is no longer being produced a replacement tank will be a problem but remember your old header tank is still in my garage.

I can see I might have to fit that again, till I can get the level sensor tank repaired/sealed.

I came back home with the trip meter in digital temp gauge mode and there was no overheating, did stop a couple of times to check water level, but when I got home I noticed the drip drip from the front of the car, then I found the source, water also had been dripping down the sheath that wraps round the wires.

I have just the thing...George still has my banner.

What we need is a portable frame or a couple of stakes to hold it up.

What we need is the fibreglass poles that hold up these cheap wee two man tents .

I had two banners with me at Scone but didint use them. At risk of sounding pedantic or a perfectionist (or maybe an ****, rhuymes with carse) I didnt use them because they dont fit with the club identity i.e. they are the wrong lettering and colours etc :o This is why I use existing club graphics on the Show Cards and on the club welcome sign. Really our banner should be something like . . . .

Cheers flyer

I took a Sunday drive up to see Lovel a few weeks ago for a new key to be programmed and cut also 160 diesel upgrade. Well worth the drive up to Methlick to have such a well respected T4 man check over your car.
I have contact details or just send him a PM.
