Had rear shelf out today to install electric rear blind.
Wiring for blind is there so that's great.

Some other wiring etc that I don;t know what they are - can anyone tell me?

1. This plug is just to the right (looking to the rear of the car) of the centre seat-belt reel

2. The plug on the orange wire is for the electric blind, but what is the round plastic thing (looks like some sort of sensor) sitting further back in a cut-out in the foam?

3. Behind the driver's side c-pillar trim, the long plastic thing at the top right of the pic below the plastic tube (which I guess is for the sunroof drain) and held in place by masking tape. Looks like some sort of aerial, although my car only has the basic Rover CD/radio fitted.

I would hazard a guess that the round sensor type thing in the foam is the sounder for reversing sensors David :shrug::}

That's interesting - I don't have reversing sensors on my car, but perhaps I have the wiring?

[By the way, car is a 51-plate Connoisseur]

Quite possible David, some cars have the wiring for all sorts of fittings, just depends on what the initial buyer specified at point of sale :shrug::} Example, illuminated sunvisors, nearly all cars have the wiring in place, but not all have them fitted :D

Pic 1 is the plug for reversing sensor sounder
Pc 2 looks like the GPS receiver black and square about the size of a match box.

Pic 3 Is the aerial amplifier

the second picture, looks like it is a sounder. I think I can see small holes in the top of it.

If it's the sounder it;s not connected as the plug is in the other picture.... may have been placed there but never connected

Thanks for all the responses. I'll have another look at the 'sounder' in pic 2 in the morning. Thanks.
