My CDT finally decided to have clutch gremlins and so after a very informative chat with Andy Willi:bowdown:, I had the work done by a friend in his workshop.
Received her back yesterday evening and took out for a spin.
Two things immediately became noticeable, firstly of course the clutch works as it should, the biting point has moved away from the floor and will take some getting used to when pulling away!! Secondly the steering is now heavier especially at slow speeds. the fluid level is fine and bled again but still feels heavy.
Any ideas please guys?

Not sure if you have already checked but I'd test your tyre pressures, that would cause the heavy feeling and plausible if you've had it laid up for a while waiting for funds to fix the clutch

Tyre pressures are fine and checked every weekend, car only off road for two days before work done.

Something wrong around the rack (must be disturbed while cluch repair)

Ask your friend to have a look ..

That's odd, as not much is disturbed in respect of the steering system when performing a clutch change - usually the method is to disconnect the steering column from the rack, and that's it.
I'm sure if you PM Andy he'll be happy to help. :)
