I am finishing reassembling my car after replacing the carpet (which was a nightmare!) and now I'm putting the centre console back together. Before I slot it all in, I'm testing the wiring, and I discovered that the stereo (which is the Symphony one, I think, without satnav or tv) has a stray wire floating around, and one that popped out by accident. I'm not sure where they go!

I need to fix this ASAP, so I hope someone can help.

Here's a picture of a pair of green and blue plugs that are stuck together. Note near the top there's a stray black wire, and there's a stray blue and black wire. I figure those both must go somewhere!

Aaaand over here is a random blue plug and I have no idea where it goes or what it does!

Basically my query is just, what do those do, and where do I put them? :P Please help asap, I was hoping to have the car ready to drive today!

In the second picture, if the cables are Slate/Green, Green/Slate, Red/White & Black it is for traction control. Although those cables are there, you may not have the traction control system fitted.

The first picture is a Symphony, but it looks like a later addition with an adapter lead, as a factory fitted wiring loom has brown and grey ISO connectors and blue/green yellow mini ISO connectors.

Hello matey, the twisted wiring loom parts as shown, if I remember correctly are for speakers, I would plug in as a temp measure and try the wireless for which speaker is inoperative. Before connecting the battery under the bonnet, please ensure the SRS ecu is plugged in. This is the metal box just in front of the handbrake lever on the floor pan.
Hope this helps, I can get the colour code identification for you but will envolve using my other computer, but PM me if you want it and I will do my best to help. The two stray multi plugs are for steering wheel control from memory!
Regards John H.

The Symphony has the steering wheel control cables in pins 2 & 3 of the power ISO connector, it is the later single DIN units that have them in the green mini ISO connector. In the OE loom, the cables are Blue/Purple and Blue/Orange and the power ISO connector is grey.

The speaker cables should be in the other ISO connector, brown in the OE loom.
