seen a nice 75 going cheap due to the head gasket as gone its a 1.8 connie non turbo im just wondering whats the going rate to fix one id also have all the belts changed too whilst its being done and probably water pump. if anyone wants to pm a price or give a rough estimate for the job if it;s not too heavy I may consider taking a punt on the car. thanks

kayleigh and daves quote is quite good it would work out the car would cost me about 600 quid to buy and put right its gotta be worth a punt.

Best to replace water pump timing belt, tensioner, tensioner bolt and inlet and exhaust gaskets
I would do the thermostat at the same time as well as auxiliary belts (personal preference) DMGRS do some all in kits cheap but can also get the parts elsewhere under hundred quid if your not going to do it yourself look at about 150-200 for days labour to do it by someone who knows K series

Sounds like a good deal for £600 all in - and another car saved. :)
