You will have to remove the ashtray assembly and change the bulb from the back.

Is there a bulb in it to change?

I thought it was a sealed amber ring, did a bit of investigation to try and change the illumination to blue. No bulb.

They are difficult to remove. Have a look on ebay there were some blue illuminatated items available for a fiver. Just a small adjustment with a Dremel.

It's for the ZR runabout same part though, as it's being replace it'll come out - impact engineering!!!

If the cigar lighter went in without butchering, then it must come out without butchering. But how? I can only assume the orange ring went in before the metal socket, so they need to be separated. Again, but how?:duh:
