I have the possible opportunity to acquire a BM24 from a BMW 330, to swap with the low powered one in my 75.

I have noticed the 2004 BMW 330 doesn't have sat nav, but if it turns out to have a BM24 fitted, will it still work ok with my hi-line (sat nav) system in the Rover?

If you have the BM23 you can swap but need to check the plug pins. Believe there was a difference round vs. flat. (or maybe that was just for the BM54 ?)

I'm sure someone with more info will confirm or correct :D

BM24 should plug straight in an is a good improvement over the standard unit :cool:

Thanks. Ah so it wont affect my sat nav in any way. Is it just an amp?

I have a BM24, but I thought all such BMW radios numbered in that way were for cars with Sat Nav.

Mani thing is to check it doesn't have a faceplate and is instead blank on the front like your current radio (can't see how that would work in a non-sat nav BMW though, unless they had some other controls?).

My car's previous owner 'upgraded' to the BM24 and I tried a satnav unit, albeit briefly, and it worked fine.:}
