Loud Ticking

Over the last few days, my v6 has developed a loud tick. I ticks along with the revs, so ticks faster when the throttle is blipped.

I thought it may be a tappet. Is there a regular problem, that someone may be able to share their wisdom?

It's most likely to be the Slack Tappet Simulator, better known as the fuel vapour recycling valve. If you do a search in the technical forum for 'STS' (without the commas), you'll find lots of info.

EDIT: STS comes and goes by the way.
It could also be a valve lifter issue.
