Powerfold motors...

Anyone know about Powerfold motors and how they are supposed to cut the motor when gets to a position? I'm in the middle of refurbishing my 3rd set but this one motor turns the housing as it should, but when the housing gets to its position the motor continues to turn. The other motor I have done and tested shuts the motor off.... Any ideas?!?!

Could do with some more detail Jub, but if we are talking Bullett Mirrors, then there is a stop inside the motor casing, so if you have had the motor apart is the stop back in the correct position would be the first thing I would check as it can go in upside down

Also are you testing with the motor lid off as the motor will continue to run if that's the case.

If the stop is in place and the lid is on then the only way the motor can continue to run is if the gears are stripped but as you bought some from me recently you may well be using new ones , in which case are they fitted inside the lid correctly

I think I have found the cause, but unable to solve it lol....

The cogged ring keeps slipping out of the brass ring it slots into...

Need to find some sort of packing.

I'm using the new gears Rob, I I havnt taken the motor to bits.
