Fuel Gauge Needle

Hi, I have a petrol 1.8T 75. When I brim the fuel tank the fuel gauge needle never quite reaches the full mark on the instrument pack. Its not much off about 1mm. With ignition off the needle sits right in the empty circle so correct. I have done an IPK self test (2.0) and the needle goes up and past the full line so its not a restriction of the needle. Can the fuel gauge be calibrated via T4 to show the full range?
