View Full Version : New Cam Sensor - where to get one?

Hi folks - hope this is the right place for this question. On a previous thread was having problems getting car to start (2002 Rover 75 Club SE CDT Tourer) - and it looks likely from all the earlier replies that the Cam Sensor might need replaced.

It looks reasonably straight forward - even for a muppet like me - so I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to get one?

Had a quick look online - and nothing popped up - so thought I'd ask.

Cheers - Alan

With sensors, it's unwise to buy non-genuine/non-OEM. In my view a used part form a reputable breaker would be preferable to an aftermarket item.

This would probably be the best value supplier for OEM.

The Freelander TD4 sensor will fit as well.

I have 'The Real McCoy' OEM sensors here - I don't have them on the Shop (yet) but they're £94.99 from myself.
I also offer a good-quality aftermarket item here:
R75 / MG ZT Camshaft Position Sensor (http://www.dmgrs.co.uk/products/r75-mg-zt-cdti-camshaft-position-sensor-nsc100890-nsc100891)

If you can afford it, OEM is the way forward. :)

Maybe but always ask lots of questions if you purchase a used one, like was it working when removed do you accept returns if not working etc
