After reading a lot of threads I'm a bit confused should I be buying the mk1 tazu :http://www.dmgrs.co.uk/collections/clutch-transmission-parts/products/rover-75-mg-zt-metal-master-cylinder-kit-all-variants-replaces-stc100146-stc105480

Or something else

I was asking exactly the same question myself last night and I took the conversation onto a Facebook group today too. I don't think there's a definitive consensus but it seems that the Mk1 is more favoured than the Mk2. The LUK model was suggested by some but Mat from DMGRS said he had a high proportion of these returned. All models had their supporters too. I'm none the wiser...

At the moment, I'd fit the Mk1 Tazu item.
The original LUK didn't do well for me with 6 of 13 being returned within warranty.
The Mk1 Tazu has done well - over 200 sold with 1 return, and the Mk2 Tazu has occasional issues with the piston seals weeping.

The only draw back with the Mk1 Tazu is the copper pipe can be a pain to fit, but I've done about 10 now and it's not as bad as some make out.
Worries about vibration fracturing the copper pipe also seem to have been proven wrong - not one case has been reported, and they've been available for a good while now. Some have done over 50,000 miles.

Here they are - in stock and ready to ship: Metal Master Cylinder Kit (http://www.dmgrs.co.uk/collections/clutch-transmission-parts/products/rover-75-mg-zt-metal-master-cylinder-kit-all-variants-replaces-stc100146-stc105480)

Or you can fit a flexi pipe in place of the copper pipe

That implies an approximately 50% failure rate with the Luk master cylinders. To confirm that there is no confusion, as was the case with Luk clutches (;)), would it be correct to assume that the stated failure rate was reported to Luk by yourself as a reseller of their parts as well as the individual cases in order to secure in-warranty support?

Could you confirm please - I am minded to ask the manufacturer if they could provide an update.
