Happy new year to everyone, heres my first problem of 2015:
On trying to start the car there is a clicking noise from under the bonnet and the tailgate window pops open and the car wont start, before I ring the garage I wonder if anyone has any thoughts,I have had intermittent problems with the tailgate and rear window not opening recently.

Either a flat battery, or the connector on the starter motor solenoid

Stuart,

My standard advice is to borrow or buy a mains powered charger and connect your battery to it for at least 24 hours. It is very likely that it will recover and you'll be back on the road.

However most people seem to want to contribute to paying for the luxury yacht belonging to the CEO of Bosch by throwing away a battery which only requires recharging and buying a new one. :duh:

The choice is yours. ;)
