how to empty cooling system

how do you empty the cooling system on rover 75 diesel thanks

I don't know about the diesels but the 1.8 petrols seem do do it themselves on occasions! :getmecoat:

Undo the bottom hose of the radiator and there is a also a drain plug on the block at the back of the engine.

When doing mine, I just drained it from the bottom radiator hose as Phil says. I then gave the whole system a good flush though with a hose, which helped bring out some rusty crud. :)
