Cleaning pcv chamber.

Thanks to arctic's how to,replaced pcv filter.What's recommended to clean chamber before putting in new filter.It's covered with thick tar like substance.

The tar will be oil-based so anything that breaks down oils should work, e.g. white spirit, petrol, etc. Personally I'd chuck it a bowl of very hot water with a cup of washing powder mixed in 'cos that's pretty much free to try.
