Electric window

Can anyone help.

The drivers electric window creaks when raised and will not close. It gets to about two inches from the top and then grinds to a halt.

I think it might be mechanical and if it is, can spare parts be obtained?

Start by squirting some WD40 in the door frame vertical channels, then run the glass up and down a few times. Any improvement?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have tried that and it made no differece.

take the door card off and check the running gear, cable etc...
