Auto dimming mirror faulty

Hi all,

Do these mirrors suffer from any common faults. Mine has not been darkening recently - I suspected fuse but believe this is the same as auto wipers (which are fine) - also I have noticed the last couple of days the mirror seems to work for about the first ten minutes of using the car in the evening but then stops...

Any ideas where to start?

the only problems (not on BMW/Rover ones mind), is they crack allowing the liquid to bleed out

I haven't heard of a faulty one.

Check the wiring with a multimeter I suppose is a good start.

OK, I'll take a look when I get a minute and see if there is anything obvious.
