Cigar lighter not working - fuse OK

Bought my first Rover 75 Saloon last week (02 reg, super pleased with it), cigar socket worked fine on the way back from the dealer, but no longer works!

I checked the fuse in the passenger foot well, which seems fine as far as I can tell. Might it be worth replacing it anyway?

Haven't given it a go with the multimeter yet, just wondering if there were any other possibilities of what could be wrong with it?

I will admit that I had a sat-nav plugged into it the other day before finding out that you shouldn't do this on another post here!

Was the cigar lighter working ?

I had the same problem today, turned out to be the F5A fuse in the 3 way splitter I use (which incidentally feeds another 4 way splitter!), So could be the plug-in unit that has blown ?
