werrrring noise

well i am beat if its not one thing its another but this is doing my head in

rover 75 con/se auto

when i go above 40 mph i am geting an loud werrring noise and got no idear what the hell it is might just go on the a19 and put me foot down to see how loud i can get it cos its got me so mad

has anyone ever had this problem :duh: the tyres have been changed to new one i had me drop links done not them 2 things now the is no play in the tyres when i try to move the wheel

Is it just engine noise or when you are moving.

If it's engine noise could be alternator bearing, water pump, Cam belt tensioner, amongst others.

If it's only on the move, then transmission problem.

Needs narrowing down.

Well it seems to get louder when I put me foot down could it be air con do it or its on my side and it's got me worried
Think I will buy the above an fit them then

do you get it when you are in Nuetral and rev?

does it dip and climb in gear changes?

if you coast in nuetral at 40 does it change?

if you turn dous it change?

Does it go away if you switch off the air conditioning?

Oh heck, you're having winter at the moment, so probably not using the air conditioning then!
I forget these things and it's hot here at the moment :sunny: :cool:

thanks for all the help sorted now it was the rear Wheel bearing got this car in really good shape now

other side will need doing soon but i will put that on hold for the time been till next week maybe or me service
