Question for MOT

Hi Chaps, are the engine mounts part of the MOT? My reason for asking is that I think the lower engine mount might be on the way out and wondered if I needed to replace it for the MOT at the end of May. Thanks

When I asked my friendly MOT man he told me the mounts would only fail if the compromised safety, that is if the engine was rattling round and likely to break things like brake pipes and wiring!

Hi Steve, thanks for the reply. I will need to take a closer look at the condition of it but the engine is certainly not rattling around under the bonnet.
