Dear All

My cars' glove box lid has lost the rodding in the bottom catches where the lid hinges from the dash. The telescoping arms are fine, but the lid flaps flaps around clumsily as the lower hinges are effectively doing nothing.

Pic related - hinge locations shown in red.

Does anyone know if you can get these, and how to fit? I was going to drill through and put 3mm blackened brass rodding in but if there's an OEM part I'd get it. Is it new glove box time?

Easier surely to just get a different Glovebox door...???

Holland314 is selling them: http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=195058&highlight=glovebox (Or was).

Err, I would have thought some M4 studding would be easier, and a lot cheaper.

There will be nothing wrong with the OP's hinges apart from the fact the pins have worked their way out ;)

I cut a section of wire (as a hinge pin) from a coat hanger, flattened the end with a hammer, applied a little araldite rapid to the flattened end and just pushed it in place until it wedged itself. The araldite cures and Bob is your aunties husband.;)
