I switched my headlights on this morning and a light out warning was displayed
I checked and saw I had no OSF dipped beam (outer) , The label on the slam panel says replacement bulbs should be xenon's.

I have checked the forum Google search on the subject and there is quite a bit of advice on how to go about the job, this does not look like a simple DIY job

All advice or forum links gratefully received , I am a bit stuck now as I can't use my car legally in the dark .

Car is 2005 MK 2 tourer CDTi auto. :bowdown:

All slam panels have a xenon sticker, doesn't mean you have xenon bulbs:cool: Is there a silver box attached to the rear of the light, or a rubber cover :shrug:

If they're just H7 halogen, cap off, twist holder, change bulb, 5 mins.;) http://i1007.photobucket.com/albums/af195/suzublu/BulbHolder_Dipped_LHS004_zps11c81156.jpg (http://s1007.photobucket.com/user/suzublu/media/BulbHolder_Dipped_LHS004_zps11c81156.jpg.html)
If they're xenon, bumper off, light unit out, best to replace both if you're doing it, remove ballast & bulb, change & refit. If you've not done it before, about 1-2 hours :o There is a "How To" somewhere, I'll see if I can find it. ;):}
