Have a Look at This?

Hi all. I've been out there today to have a look at why my engine light came on last week on the way to work. Was the lambdas, but when I was under there I spotted this lot riveted to the dry side of the plastic inner wheel arch on the near side.
It looks like an ignition module of some kind, just hanging there not connected. Wondered who made it and if it was any good?

Its an igniter / ballast from a HID (xenon) aftermarket headlight kit...

may have removed the lights and left this behind....

do you have xenons?
is there one hidden the other side?

Looks like a burner for HID lights.

I've no idea if I have xenon lights. The lights that are there work ok and this gadget was there just as you see it here. I suppose there would have been one on the other side as well then?

there would have been one for each headlight...

looks like they have been disconnected, the lights converted back to halogen or upgraded to full OEMM xenon units... do you have a large aluminium metal box on the back outer part of each headlight cluster?

Not noticed one but I'll have a look in the morning. Only had the car a couple of weeks so still finding stuff and a bit taken up with the lambdas.

By the way. Anyone spotted this on the bay?

nice, just a shame about the gear stick and clutch issue..

Don't see many though. Ok for a person that "does" or it could get expensive.
