I am giving my 05 Contemporary a colour change, dash, doors and roof etc. I have bought several door card clips in readiness of starting, but there appears to be two types on the cards, will the ones for sale on Ebay (Brionix) do the job?

I dare say there are umpteen versions with subtle differences that will all do the job well enough. The Brionix ones, said to be for the BMW E series, seem the most popular for the 75/ZT. I've used these and they work just fine.

Brionix: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-DOOR-CLIPS-CARD-TRIM-PANEL-INTERIOR-E34-E36-E38-E39-E46-3-5-7-series-/190691842905?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2c661e9b59

All the peripheral clips are basically this type. The original system uses some sort of fir tree at the outer/upper corner. This is said to prevent the card coming off when the door's slammed. Whether that's so I've no idea. Sounds far fetched to me and the BMW type I used all around are giving no problems. Maybe I'm not slamming the doors hard enough.

There are actually 3 types per door...

Front:
2 x EKM100090 Grey (long)
5 x EKM100100 White (short)
1 x EKM100270 White (same as the ones on the door kick plates)

Rear:
3 x EKM100090 Grey (long)
4 x EKM100100 White (short)
1 x EKM100270 White (same as the ones on the door kick plates)

Ciao.
