Oil leak...

Not being mechanically minded - what know and of issues am I looking at and potential cost of taking my 1.8 t with 68k on the clock in due to an oil leak?

Think you will need to give a wee bit more info on this before anyone can help - like where is the oil leak in layman's terms? Oil leak from either side, or front back of engine will have many different possible causes etc.

Hi as Chips says we need more information to enable us to help
but just to make you feel a bit better one major area for leaks is the cam cover gasket only cost ten quid or less and is something that you can easily do yourself there is also a good how to courtesy of Rich17865 on here

I'm not saying it is definitely that but it is common
