Hi.
Do you know this may be quite nice, It's our 25 wedding anniversary on the 19th Sept so it could be just the ticket to stay in the area and go to the show. I'll talk it over with the wife and see what she says.
It could be good for us both but will need to see how the finances pan out though.

This would be a nice event for you, have a look at the link in post 2 and if you can enter your car (It's free).

There are plenty Hotels/Guest Houses for an overnighter or two and it's a super show.

Hi.
Unfortunately I won't be able to attend, I'll not be able to drive for about three weeks after my knee op mostly due to pain relief, that's what I've been told anyway. Having an auto and it's my left knee I would have thought I'd be okay.

I was thinking of something to do sat afternoon and looked into the vintage train that we have been on a few times but the price has went tonto in the last year so not good value anymore.

So possibly a wee run to somewhere for lunch to break up the day .

To all those travelling up to Grantown on Spey for Motormania.

Please be aware that there are average speed cameras on the A9, the one's that measure your speed over a distance, so be careful there.

I think it is 60 mph......so don't overtake that artic doing 56, otherwise it's a ticket.:duh:

Yes they are live. However they do not all have cameras in them. Just remember it is an average speed which means at times you can go faster if you have been held up for instance.

They also still do mobile camera checks like any other road.
Speed limits for cars like any other road 70 on dual carriageways and 60 on the other bits unless marked otherwise
Best advice...don't go at stupid speeds and you shoukd be ok.

Excellent show at Grantown on Spey last Sunday, there was a lot of interest in our cars which was very pleasing.

There was a chap with a 1981 W reg 3.0 litre Capri in Nimbus Grey, it was a concours car in every respect, if he was selling it, I would have made him an offer, still have a soft spot for Capri's.

Had a comfortable stay at Garden Park Guest House as usual and George and AnnMarie has a slightly less comfortable stay at their Guest House.:getmecoat:
