Can you empty the Air-Con?

Soon to be fitting a Revotec fan, so to avoid cutting plastic Etc can you have the Air-Con emptied to enable seperating pipes that are in the way? it would make fitting a lot easier.
The Air-Con on the car is only half working and could do with sorting out anyway.

Yes, just take it to a specialist and ask them to recover all refrigerant.
