I've done a bit of searching, but just to answer 100%..

The thread has stripped off on of the bolt that holds down one of my coil packs, what is the correct size and thread for a replacement?

Many thanks...

Ordered, arrived and fitted. They were spot on.

Oddly, the ones I had on were about a 3rd shorter that the new ones???

I noticed that the bolts were short on the V6 I've just worked on - if they were a bit longer, they probably wouldn't have stripped the threads in the cam cover. :(

Good to see the new ones are a bit longer - should help the problem.

It seemed weird to me, why would they drill holes for the bolts, then fit bolt that only went 2 3rd into the holes. Unless they were originally longer and the shorted ones were cheaper. Perhaps the shorter ones were used elsewhere on the cars and the long ones were unique to the coil packs. It would have saved money to order more of he shorter instead of unique parts. The short one seem the same as the bolts used to secure the engine vanity cover.
