Front anti-roll bar removal ?

Gents,

Needing to remove the front anti rollbar.
Haynes says you need to drop the subframe to achieve it.

Is this strictly true or not ?

Not as far as I'm aware - I could be mistaken, though!

Can't be definitive, but if you take a look at it where it sits behind the steering rack I can't imagine how you'd be able to manipulate it to get it through in the space available. (at least not without cutting it).

I am wondering why you need to remove it though? swapping for the heavier duty version maybe?

nah, have some bits ready for powder coating so thought it be rude to not get it done at the same time ;)
