Hi when travelling at a reasonable speed applying the brakes hard they seem to be very good, when i apply them at low speed coming to a stop it feels like juddering ?

I had that some months ago. Turned out to be warped front discs.

Could be an ABS fault. The difference between that and warped discs is the speed of the judder and whether it is constant or not.

If it only happens at low speed and at a constant frequency then likely a problem with the ABS, but if the frequency of the judder is in direct relation to the road speed and always happens when you brake then a warped disc or a hub running out of true.

If it is a hub fault then fitting new discs will sort it initially, but it will come back as the discs wear.

All would be revealed by checking the disc runout with a DTI/clock gauge.
