Sorry if this has been posted before but a member asked me how to post photos. So I thought this might be helpful for members.

1. First thing to do is to set up a Photobucket account at www.photobucket.com or download the app to your phone.

2. Then select upload photo this will either take you straight to your gallery on a phone or on a pc allow to select or to drag and drop photos. I personally find it easier to use Photobucket on a mobile phone using the app. Then if you have used your phone to take the photo it is quick to upload.

3. Once you have some photos uploaded you will then need to start a new post or pm on the forum.

4. To add a photo to a post or pm go to Photobucket either via the app or the webpage with a new tab (internet window) so you keep the forum page open and sign in using the earlier created username and password if not already signed in.

5. Select the Home option and then select your library. You should then see all folders where you have uploaded photos to.

6. Then click on the folder and click on the photo you would like to upload and select the second icon under the photo, the icons are information, share the image, edit and delete. The second icon is share the image.

7. From the menu click on the 6th option copy link to clipboard and then click on the box to the right of IMG which will gave a link starting [URL in the box.

8. Photobucket will then display a message saying copied.

9. This will then be in your clipboard ready to paste into your post or pm
Within your post or pm make sure the cursor is where you would like the image or photo to go on your post or pm and then paste the image or photo.

10. It will initially display as URL text but once the post is saved or th pm is sent it will then display as a photo or image.

One thing to remember is if you delete the image or photo from Photobucket this will delete it from your post or pm as well.

In Point 10, the image should appear within your message GUI before you send/save it. That way you can check it's the right one and of the correct size.

Photos taken directly from a camera/phone may be ultra large (eg 2500-3000 pixels wide) and are best resized to around 800 pixels before uploading to Photobucket. That way you don't post any images that take up the whole screen or maybe two screen widths of the browser. The forum software might resize some oversize photos, but many seem to get through and make a mess of the layout (IMO of course).
