new wheels query

Just wondering what the offset of a 18" hairpin is looking at buying some new wheels 5x100 et 40 if any one could help thanks in advance

Originals are about ET50 but you can go to ET35 8j x whatever diameter. Remember cost of tyres as you go up in size. All mine have 19 x 8 et 35.:D

Thanks phil ive wanted a set of wheels for a few years now but didnt realise they would fit the tourer and now my mind is set on not changeing it im gonna see what i can find theyre vw golf monza wheels in polished and black wish i could add a link but still struggling daz did me a photoshop and yea im impressed roll on next week lol

Matt the wheels on mine are from a Vw Bora 8x18 Et 40. I have no rubbing issues.
