What is the kerb weight of a Mk II 54 plate 1.8 saloon. Need a few people to reply as I need to show this as evidence of vehicle weight when hiring a vehicle transporter.
Thank you

According to Mr Haynes, kerb weight of the 1.8 is 1400 to 1530 KG:shrug:

The handbook I have says:
Approximate unladen vehicle weight (full fuel tank, excluding options):
1.8 petrol models
Manual: 1370 - 1510 kgs
Auto: 1420 - 1550 kgs

Is the 1400kg without oil, water and fuel and the 1530kg with oil, water and a full tank of fuel.

Assuming 'Kerb' weight is the same as 'Unladen' then it includes oil, coolant and a 90% full tank (*). The weight range covers all the optional extras available for the specified model.

(*) Some data says a 100% full tank.

That depends on if you think the car has 130KG worth of fuel, oil and water (two full adults worth).

At 20C, a full tank, a standard oil level and the standard level of coolant mix (50/50), contribute just over 58Kg to the car's weight. This is included in the unladen/kerb weight.

i'm really struggling to find a economical way to transport a car from kent to so'ton. I want it as a donor car and so I need to do it on the cheap.
