Gear linkage cable kaput...

Could any of you gents offer some advice on how to aproach this job...one of my gear linkage cable is kaput and i'm thinking of doing this job myself.
Is it a difficult task or can be easily done...

From memory use ramps unbolt exhaust down pipe from manifold remove heat shield, remove battery box you can then get too the cables use 2 spanners a 13mm then a 10mm on top of that to remove ball and socket joints there are 2 clips that hold cables in place. I replaced both cables and gear lever with use items so just removed gear knob and back underneath to remove complete assy.
