freelancer low pressure pump running continuously

Hi

I have been hunting a problem with my td4 for a few weeks now. Car starts to misfire and lose power after about 10-15mins of running. So far I have had one injector reconditioned, new maf sensor, new low pressure fuel pump and filter, new fuel regulator and have replaced the o-ring in back of the hp fuel pump. Now the car doesn't want to start when cold and then low pressure fuel pump seems to run continously.

Any ideas what I am missing?

Sounds very much like your intank pump has failed.

You can't run without it like on our cars, unless you disconnect the outlet pipe and cable tie it to the bottom of the tank module assembly. ;)

Mine has a pump in the rear wheel arch not in the tank. But thanks for the heads up

Yep but that is the fuel burning heater fuel pump. ;)

You should also have an in tank pump, and I reckon that is where your problem lies.
