I'm afraid there are H&R Springs and H&R Springs....
1) H&R OE Sport Springs
Lowers .25 - .75” on average
Offers more control and balance
2) H&R Sport Springs (Commonly Fitted and anything lower than this you should change your shocks and wear a Kidney Belt).
Lowers 1.5 - 1.8” on average
Superb ride quality
3) H&R Super Sport Springs
Lowers 1.75 - 2.3” on average
Provides superior ride and maximum lowering
4) H&R Race Springs
Lowers 1.75 - 2.5” on average
Designed for responsive, tight handling and performance
So it really depends on what you bought before you complain about the ride...

You don't get something for nothing - lowering it was never going improve the ride.

Seconded. If you want ride quality, lowering the car is not going to help.
My second ZS was lowered, and boy was it hard.

H&R make a progressive spring whereby they only firm up when cornering.I have the Eibach equivalent on mine and the handling is excellent along with the ride quality.

Do all 4 alternatives have also 2 variants for diesel and not diesel versions? If I do a eBay search, there could be found the article number 29416-1 (non diesel) and 29416-2 both claimed for 35 lowering.
