I admit to not reading anything about EZL799CVT in the Jatco auto box. Using alternatives to the specified fluid can be risky.
Maybe worth reading some of this first: http://www.google.com/custom?client=google-coop&cof=AH%3Aleft%3BCX%3ARover%252075%2520%2526%2520MG %2520ZT%2520Owners%2520Club%3BL%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww .google.com%2Fcoop%2Fintl%2Fen-US%2Fimages%2Fcustom_search_sm.gif%3BLH%3A65%3BLP% 3A1%3BGFNT%3A%23666666%3BDIV%3A%23cccccc%3B&hl=en&adkw=AELymgWs9D-8-D5w4nJg2O5pmlAww6fsCA05Xr2R_-wDJXtUXgvT2aG88NPOznYR-Dp0NmUMAUjUCrqhbWiLG1aQJKyu00-ToxSbqt0LXAn4qsV-Xftfe123C9Aw7KxV2I6JWkGoYrAxNTXNni0ekQOM2kQ-IVcJOw&cref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fcse%2Ftools%2Fm akecse%3Furl%3Dwww.the75andztclub.co.uk&q=ATF+alternatives+2015&btnG=Search

The Jatco box is not a CVT gearbox. Perhaps he was asking for another car?

I didn't think of that. Profile shows a 1.8 ZT 'Steptonic' model so we'll have to wait for OP's reply.

Phill,

I don't think anyone here is very keen to see you put your gearbox at risk by using obviously incorrect fluid.

Google is your best bet to answer your question.

according to a post on .org maybe this thread will help (http://forums.mg-rover.org/showthread.php?t=399993), if you looking to renew fluid in an MGF or some BMW Mini's; Read warning though apparently Ford spec is not the same.

And one post say's Rimmer Bros have it.

May I suggest picking up the phone and calling round the motor factors or dealers.
You could always google it yourself instead of asking members to do the leg work for you then complain.

Here you go available from Rimmer Bros (http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-XPT002002OF) same as link provided in post #9

I would go with some of the above comments.

Having looked at this recently when thinking about a Rover 45 CVT, the following may help.

The original EZL799 oil was produced by Esso and is no longer available.

The BMW Mini CVT used the same box as the MGF etc. and uses the same oil - you could purchase the equivalent BMW oil.

Alternatively, there are a number of companies producing EZT 799 compatible CVT fluid e.g. Millers, Vavoline..

How about
