Good evening all, time for Lord Rover's latest news once again.

As I was working towards my motor, I found something underneath which looked out of place, had to check it out, its a black sensor with two wires running though and its broken and can't be repaired.

Is this cause of my ABS faults is this thing right here.
Got photos here too.

What do you think?

Can mod edit my topic please I put ABD rather then ABS lol.
Thank you.

Where is it attached at the other end? Looks like a foglight connector to me, but I haven't seen one of those for a fair while.

That still covers a fair bit of ground, Front, back or middle (undertray on?). If it's right at the front near the bumper I'd say possibly fog light, more on the side ahead of the road wheel might be a connector for headlamp washer pump. Can't think of anything else similar that would hang out the bottom on that side (unless it had come completely adrift) looks a bit large for the manifold air pressure plug, and you'd know about it if it was the alternator connection.

It was the fog light connector after all, damn, oh well still tinkering to do, ABS ABS ABS. :D

Is there a under try nope there isn't in fact none at all what so ever, because my car is a Rover 75 and when I put the ZT bumper for the hybrid project, I noticed the fog light connectors are different, because my car is a Rover 75, its got the 75 style connectors on the ZT, the fog light fittings are different, so I tucked in the plus underneath the bumper with some tire backs, but looks like it didn't hold. :D

That's one thing out of the way, as ZT fog lights never worked any way, unless I was to convert them which isn't problem. :D

My mine target is sorting the ABS fault, doesn't affect braking what so ever, if the MOT mechanic saw that it would be a fail, instantly.

Even tho brakes fine. Cruise control doesn't work at all what so ever.
More likely down to this, how ever speedo meter still works 100%.

There is crunching on braking, still stopping power is really good. :D
Anyone know which I should target first?

Sensors, wheel bearings or the recluctor rings?

All go for Hog and do all of them together, I'm keeping this car for ever and it will never see other owner in its life. :D

Anyone got any ideas to this?

What is most common fault part to fail for the ABS to show on the dash?

Does the light come on before the car has even moved? If so, sensors.

Not always only now and again, but as soon as you start moving that its, it comes right on ABS fault.

check for chaffing in the wire from the sensors make sure it has not been rubbing on the trye. if it was a sensor the light would be on all the time .with the cars movement making the light go on and off may be the wire gets moved so it works then moves again so it dont

Yes it does sound like it doesn't it. :D

Just bought a full hog of brand new sensors all round for the car.
If I'm going to do it, I might as well do them all together at the same time.

Talk about pricey tho, but they will last and Buying one sensor per time.

in total £105, have to admit kinda pain full, but at least there done together and shouldn't happen for a while, unless the bearings play up that is http://forums.75-zt.com/images/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
