I did see it, but it wasn't a connie. It was a Longbridge Club on 16" Unions, I think the colour was midnight blue and it looked in really good nick.

Whose Blue Connie starred in Eastenders tonight.
The one that was stolen.
It was an X reg with cream leather seats.

Stolen with keys or by twisting a couple of wires together, a method that somehow in film and TV manages to circumvent the most sophisticated anti-theft system?

Did anyone see the Rover 75 in this evening's episode of Eastenders? Paul Coker was unloading the boot of the car for his gran Pam, before Jordan stole it to escape the country with his dad, who broke out of prison. Drama in the square.....:getmecoat:

I don't watch Eastenders. Just the word on the street.......

But anyway, it was a dark Mk1 Rover 75 with cloth interior and I think it had Union alloys on it.

Sadly, on this occassion, this car did not suffer from a failure of the fuel pump. Had it done so, things could of been very different.

Jordan on the left. Can't trust the guy.

Paul on the right and his gran, Pam on the left. Poor guy is only helping her with the shopping. They didn't deserve what was about to come.

Jordan goes in for the kill

There's one phrase commonly used in Eastenders that you won't be hearing.....Sorted!

This must be the first time Eastenders has had the mearest hint of class about it.

Agree entirely, dreary tired saga full of bad home decor, depressing people, no one seems to actually work that much and the women look like out of work hookers.

Yeah my partner and I noticed it last night too :-)
I did think that looks decent for its age , I thought I'd gladly swap that working one for mine with its iffy fuel pump ha ha

I only glanced at it whilst it was on at my dad's. But looked like cloth to me, but there things can happen if you leave the keys in the ignition. I know it is is only a show Lol

Didn't there used to be a black one on eastenders too? And max had an MGF.

Probably will get smashed up at some point, guess there's less red tape using a car from a defunct manufacturer than getting the backlash off a company for destroying one of their products.

I concur - there is enough misery in the world without tuning into it on TV for one's own entertainment.

Don't get me started on Happy Valley !

It's usually the way.
When I watch a program and you see an older car or a car the main actor doesn't usually drive, I think that's going to be trashed somehow.

I think the Rover in Eastenders maybe heading the same way :(

I got the REG on a still photo i took as he drove off can you trace the history our cars like Barnaby in midsommer a few years ago Max Branning was driving a 75 .I have a dvd movie all the police cars are 75s its called v for Vendetta.

They wasted a couple of P6s last year, cutting roofs off them, so another 75 lost would be nothing to them.

Threads all merged.

Looks like a Royal Blue Club SE. Definitely not a Connoisseur as no cruise, and no switches on the switch panel at all. Body colour mirrors too. Quite an early Longbridge car with torpedoes, and the more attractive boot plinth. Probably a 1.8. I never watch the programme, so haven't looked at anything other than photos on here.

Look d really nice apart from the horrible No Smoking sticker on the walnut airbag cover.

Wonder if it's a legal requirement being a "work" car or hired out to the BBC.

Think it was used as a mini cab some time back in the past.
